The Resource is being featured with its own event at CMATO in The Oaks Mall on Saturday December 1, 2018. There are two performance times at 12:00pm and 3:00pm and each are followed by a Q&A with the dancers. The Resource will be performing its piece, Ocean Duet with dancers Nathalie Wutkee and Ricky Medina. Music and choreography by company director, Nathalie Wutkee.

The performances start promptly at 12:00pm and at 3:00pm and are aproxamately 45 minutes including the Q&A.

The Ocean and the Moon each take on specific characters who discover different things about themselves and each other throughout the piece. They move to a recording of breath that mimics the sound of ocean waves. The Ocean is strong and almost reckless with her power while the Moon is sure and confident with his. Their relationship is not defined because the viewer creates their own story of what relationship they see. This is parallel to life: we cannot be told how to treat nature or relationships, we must discover and decide for ourselves to create our own relationship with nature, with other and with self. There is a give and take, reliance and independence, an exploration of togetherness and apartness, and discoveries of support available. There is loss and return, joy and sorrow, and inherent dynamic between strength and vulnerability as the two move into and away from each other as the Ocean and the Moon.
