THE RESOURCE is excited to be guest performers at SELAH Dance Collective’s performance of, Pivot! At the Sunday 2:00pm show, we will be performing two pieces from our repertoire: Ocean Duet and Future.

The Ocean Duet is between the Moon and the Ocean, portrayed by Ricky Medina and Nathalie Wutkee Agredano, respectively. Many relationships are revealed in this piece, which is why we do not dictate who the Moon and the Ocean are to each other. We ask the audience to observe and see what stories and relationships are becoming real for them. You might see relationships between creator and human, self to self, between lovers, self to other, self to environment, self to world, or countless others. We would love to hear what stories you see and create as you watch the piece unfold.

This piece is choreographed by both dancers and the music is a recording of Nathalie’s breath. This breath sometimes sounds like wind, ocean waves, or breath. Premiere 2017, Thousand Oaks, California.

Future premiered in 2017 with music by Amanda Carson and choreography by Nathalie Wutkee Agredano. This piece explores ideas about the future and the past, the creative process of building and creating, and relationships with ourselves and others. We invite you to observe and create your own story as it unfolds before you. We believe that rather than dictating a narrative, that every audience member has a beautiful and meaningful message to see in our art.
